Pattern:My own Generic Throw-together with Picot Top/Star Toe
Yarn: Socks That Rock Thistle
Needles:Addi Turbo US #1
Started:April 25th
Finished: April 31st
I think the socks turned out much better than I had anticipated. Still,They’re just not my color. I thought I’d like something different but no.
So mom happily took them, besides, they fit her a little better anyway. :)
I do love the pattern though, and I will be using the star toe more often. If your interested in doing one yourself, here is how I did it.
The pattern is 58 stitches until you are ready for the toe then I increase up to 60 stitches.
Then k9 k2tog all the way around
Knit next row
K8 k2tog all the way around
Knit next row
Continue in this pattern until the toe is as pointy (or not) as you like. I think I got all the way down to about 8 stitches then thread yarn through all stitches and pull.
You can find more types of toes for socks here

As for sockapalooza, this will be my first Knitting Swap of any kind EVER! I’m excited to receive socks but nervous as all can be to send socks. You know me…Always Positive…(snort)
Mostly,Will they fit?
My sock pal likes Solid Yellows or mixed Blues and Browns.
As for patterns I’m leaning towards
I always love to knit with STR but we will have to see where I can find some OOAK yellow yarn.
I just cast on a pair of Jaywalkers in Socks That Rock Rhodonite and after that comes my pals socks…
Let’s hope I get them done in time
