Thanks for all the comments on my Thistle socks.
I’m starting to like them the more I knit. I’m already done with the first sock and just finished the picot on the second. If I don’t end up wearing them mom already put dibs in on them,so either way they will go to a good home.
Moving right along..
I leave you with a pic of my cat George…Who just turned 4 years old today. George is a great cat…I love that he has no problems with 3 little kiddos always wanting to tackle him.He hates getting his picture taken though. We rescued him from the flea market,he was only 4 weeks old. Cutest thing ever.He fit in my jacket pocket.

Last night I was so blissfully unaware, checking bloglines, minding my own business and there it is. I tried to resist the urge…but Stephanie was even blogging about it. I really, really want to get a sweater (that fits) finished this year, doing so is at the top of my Totem Pole of Knitting Goals. So I’m going to try to come across a cheap copy of Rowan 40,find some Rowan Yorkshire Tweed on Ebay and dive in. Hopefully this sweater can keep my interest, unlike the CPH.I’ve yet to look…Is there a KAL for this sweater??
In other news I’ve been working (albeit slowly) on a generic top down Stockinette sock in socks that rock Thistle. For some reason Thistle doesn’t want to be a jaywalker,RPM,or any of the sock patterns I usually knit. The colors just look so BLAH! Too much yellow and green mixing together for my tastes,I suppose.(me? Anal about my knitting? NAHH!)
So Simple Stockinette with a picot edge it is…

When I ordered this color I wanted something Springy. Springy it is, but not like my usual pinks and reds I don’t like to stray from. The colors are okay….but you can bet I wont be dipping back in the purple/green category.

Do you notice something missing? I didn’t get a ballband! I always keep mine for directions…gauge..ect.
I guess it was just overlooked. No biggie really…I know I can get the info I need.
“Walking On The Wild Tide”

I really love this colorway and the YARN IS SILK! You can see on the bottom the small skein has been rewound and the colors really pop. It’s rainy here so even outside this pic wasn’t taken in the best light. I probably wouldn’t like the color as much if the fuchsia wasn’t included. I think it really stands out.
The pattern included is named grasshopper. I will have to see if I’ll use it. I’m really excited this shipment. I cant wait to cast-on this time!

Kona Superwash Dyed by me
More to come….as soon as my dyes get here

It’s time for me to start knitting a little something for the kiddos.
Here I have a pair of socks for my youngest wee one N. Shes now 16 months old and this is the first pair I have knit her. You would think I gave her golden slippers….(the left sock is slightly stretched, she wore it around the house showing it off to everyone..even the cat and dog) She has yet to wear them both as I finished after she went to bed for the night. I think they’re adorable and I have enough yarn to make her sister a matching pair. Woo!
