(the first pic is true to color)
Started:March 12th
Finished:March 22nd
Yarn:Cascade 220
Pattern:Two Toned Rib Shrug from Fitted Knits
Needles:Denise Size 6 & 8
Notes:I modified the pattern a bit on the arms, trust me, I need the extra room . I left out a few rows in the ribbing as I didn’t want the scratchiness on my neck.
I’m very happy with it..
Adding it all up I have realized how much I have spent on Yarn goodies this past two months. It’s more than I think I spent in all of last year. I’m not going on a “Knit from your Stash” but I’m definitely slowing down a bit.
*hold me to it
On that note….
New Goodies came today!
Behold,Phildar Spring Ladies 2007. All the way from France.

love-Love-LOVE the patterns in the catalog. However, there are somethings that are different. Stitches, charts…ect
It’s probably not as hard as I’m making it out to be for myself. I’m sure if I can’t figure it out someone can help at the LYS.
Something new to learn..I wish I had room to take pics of all the patterns. Instead, you can see them here
I also stopped by Knit Wits last night and picked up some new Tofutsies.

I’m usually not a big fan of “stranded yarn” I cannot stand it when I’m knitting and the strands come apart..lol Another peeve of mine. Like Brown Sheep Wildfoote,it’s a nightmare for me to knit socks with.I like this yarn though,So we will see how it goes.
As if I didn’t have enough on the needles I started something else. My poor little dog “Cincy” shakes like a leaf on a tree when I take her out to do her business. Shes eight years old and a beagle/lab mix. The poor thing really doesn’t have the thick fur my other dog has. It’s so cute but sad at the same time how cold she gets. So, I cast on last night for a doggie sweater. I’m knitting this on my own,no pattern. This should be fun.

I love my little Cincy Bear..so I hope this helps her out a bit.
Well..It’s off to the library for me. Kids need books,I need some time to knit.
Have a great day!
EDIT:Wow,that was fast! The new Knitty is up! Check it out
The socks….OMG the BMP socks! Dh will just flip!

I finished the back of CPH the other night and started on the front. I was super excited that it knit so fast….but I spoke too soon. My little tornado boy ripped my needles out and reset my row counter on the front piece! Oh well…I was only about 30 rows in.
Here is the back if you’re interested:

I had to take the pic without the flash. Lighting isn’t the greatest here today, but I wanted to show off these beautiful cables. This pattern is no where near as hard as I thought it was. If you wanted to knit a first sweater, this is a great choice.
More knitting has been going on but I don’t have pics yet.
I frogged my STR Rhodonite sock. I had it completed but for some reason I just didn’t like it.Second sock syndrome was setting in…. So,I really need to find a pattern that I feel good about knitting with it. Wendy’s Feather and Fan or Jaywalker might just be what it will be.
Other than that not much has been going on here…it’s so cold again after having 50 degree days. I’m so bummed it’s snowing again. I cannot wait for summer…you have no idea.Flowers and warm weather….I’m going to start counting down the days.
17 days until spring
I cast on the Embossed Leaves Sock From my new book, Favorite Socks.Using my new Koigu.

Three other books that I ordered (they were on sale):

Finishing Techniques is another book that is a must have.
Other books on their way:
