I much prefer knitting socks on DPNs.Maybe it’s because that is the way I first taught myself. Nothing better than the original. I’m still knitting away on moms sock and even joined Cirque du socks. I’m not sure why I have this distaste for magic loop,but I will try to stick it out until the pair is done.
What method do you use to knit your socks?Do you like ML more than DPNS?It is a bit faster,I guess.
Ps-I finally got my new set of Denise Knitting Needles,talk about HAPPY~I’ve been wanting to knit DS a sweater out of some Caron Simply Soft

Finally,Spring has sprung! It was a beautiful day.I took the kids out in the yard and they had a blast! Signs of spring were popping up everywhere and I could not be more happy. Cabin Fever was beginning to take over,and I was considering anti-depressants. Just smelling the spring air,my neighbors grilling out,and the grass made me feel so much better.
The one thing I was not expecting to see made his presence known.The dreaded Ice Cream Truck!

Of course the kids started going crazy but I didn’t give in.Three dollars for a powerpuff girl on a stick with bubblegum eyeballs isn’t my idea of good ice cream anyway.
I did manage to get some knitting done while the baby slept and the kids decorated the dogloo with paint.As the sun was setting I ended up getting some pretty good shots of the sock I cast on for mom.This is my first sock using magic loop successfully.Although I use that term loosely,I’ve yet to get to the heel.
The yarn is Lion Brand magic stripes.(mom picked it out for herself)

When I view the page on my laptop everything is fine. I checked it out on my moms computer and it was on the bottom.
I guess I have a script error somewhere.

Super Happy MAMA here! Look what I scored. A new Pea in a Pod Pouch from Mom & Me Creations. I had a used one that I won on auction (2 years ago) but it was puke green.I hated the color so much but wanted a pouch anyway. Now that I carry around N all the time I wanted one not so boyish.I did end up getting gender neutral instead of pink because of the price difference.It’s the new design though and I-Heart-IT!

Finally,The jaywalkers are done.I like the pattern,I’m sure I will knit it again,maybe with magic loop.I bought the book at my LYS last night because I was getting the jist of it,but when I got to the heel…I was lost.
Pattern:Jaywalkers-You may be able to tell I didn’t follow the pattern exactly at the toe.I have a habit of doing that.
Knit with:Knitpicks Dye your own Merino & size 1 DPNs
Started: March 6th-ish
Finished: March 27th
I have some lacy socks on the needles right now.I’m using my purple splendor Wildfoote.They’re ok. They may get frogged as well if they dont start looking better.
Nothing else to report on really.The kids are better,still have some runny noses.I have it too now but I didn’t get as sick as them.(knock on wood)

It snowed last night and is still snowing right now. We had a few 60-to almost 70 degree days and now this. I guess it’s one more good storm until the warmth of spring. I can’t wait to hear the birds chirping and green grass. I love Kentucky in the springtime….So beautiful.
