Well, the jaywalkers were frogged. I need to start over. I’m guessing it’s the inner knitting voice telling me there are many mess-ups. I’m usually not that way,if something isn’t right I usually just leave it.It got to the point of 7-8 mistakes,it was so obvious.
As easy as the socks are, there was no way I could look at that many mistakes.
So, I’m starting over. Let’s see what happens this time

Knitting Jaywalkers are much easier than they look.(yes,I see the boo-boo)
It’s just Knit one row then k1fb,k7,double decrease, knit to end,k1fb of last stitch. I really like simple patterns that I don’t have to keep on top of. Things get done much faster that way.
The yarn is Knitpicks Dye your own merino. I’ve had this yarn in my stash since last September. THis was one of my first attempts at dyeing with koolaid. It’s actually overdyed. The original dyejob was awful brown and green.
I like this yarn alot for socks…only drawback is it’s handwash only.
It’s a beautiful day today, the sun is shining but it’s windy. Still, I think I’m going to try to get out and enjoy that it’s not snowing.
| You Are Death |

You symbolize the end, which can be frightening.
But you also symbolize the immortality of the soul.
You represent transformation, rebirth of a new life.
Sweeping away the past is part of this card, as painful as it may be.
Your fortune:
Don’t worry, this card does not predict death itself.
Instead it foreshadows the ending of an era of your life, one that is hard to let go of.
But with the future great new things will come, and it’s time to embrace them.
Mourn for a while, but then face the future with humility and courage. |
It scared me a bit at first to see that death was my tarot card. Although, Letting go of some of my past wouldn’t be a bad idea. Moving up,looking forward.

(modified, I wasn’t digging the T shaped strap)
Would I knit again? For sure…Very cute, fast and simple
Now that things are back to normal around here (i.e. not knitting like a mad woman) I started catching up with the dishcloth KAL. Here is where I am so far.

The pattern is really cute and I think it would make great gifts.
I’m only up to day #3. It shouldn’t take too long to be back on track. The yarn is sugar and cream girly variegated.
I may even re-knit the daisy in this stuff. Nice and soft!
Not much else has been going on.
On the homefront the baby started eating cereal today. Shes already 3 months old. I cannot believe how fast time goes by. Next thing I know she will be graduating high school!
A is still potty training. I never thought it could be so hard. With H she was so easy. I told her where to go and she got it pretty quick. With A…Well..Lets just say alot has been ruined..LOL He tries.
I’m still rooting for you Olympians! Keep on truckin! I’m really impressed with everyones knits. I can’t wait to see all the FO’s.
