On to better news… I finally made a case for my knitting needles!! My kids WILL NOT stay off my stuff so..lol (notice:that’s why I only have one Aero straight needle) It’s not that pretty but hey…it’s my own pattern…and It’s Batik. I like it.
(Don’t mind the pretzel bag…a pregnant girl has got to eat!)
Well..I have a problem. I’ve been doing pretty well teaching myself to knit.I’m at the point where I am finding holes in my work. I tried increasing on circlar needles and I find holes in my stitches when I come back around. On straight needles I am fine..and I can increase and decrease with ease. I finally got the Apricot thick and thin in the mail so thats what I used.
This is just stumping me…Any suggestions?
Exhibit A:

Well..here is my attempt at making my new baby due in November a Wool soaker. It will fit over her Cloth Diaper.
I actually dyed the yarn myself and I guess thats why the colors are pulling so bad. I dyed with Kool-aid. I think the yarn itself turned out nice. I just don’t like how the purple blobbed in the middle. I have some apricot and a varigated pink in the mail. Though I do enjoy dyeing the yarn myself..it’s nice to have someone else do it.
I found a great new source for Merino yarn…which I can dye myself. More lovely fruity Kool-aid colors to come.
I’ve also figured out how to recycle sweaters…I wont show the project I made with that. It looks like a 4 yr. old knit it..lol
My family are great sports about it though, never a project they wont try on.
My next Challenge…..Making socks! Ha ha ha ..cough..Ha ha…
